Coworking Space: Acme Works in Toronto

Unwelcoming staff and space. I visited on Friday afternoon briefly with my business partner (who is also my boyfriend). In all honestly the staff were treating us with suspicion as if we were criminals or sketchy or something. For context, we run a startup which is backed by three major law firms in Ontario: so to be made to feel like we’re not actually a business is very rude. The staff were clearly talking about us and didn’t know what to do, so they kept asking our names and then made a comment implying that we weren’t a real business. Really weird experience. If you’re a startup or looking for office space for your business, DO NOT go here. We left after an hour because it felt odd and unwelcome.

I've traveled quite a bit and have been in the start-up world for the past few years, and I'm yet to see a co-working space as creative, welcoming and positive as Acme Works. The location is great and the people that work here are awesome. Very good lighting and plenty of work stations and small rooms for taking calls or having a quick work huddle. Great space for any company looking for a co-working environment. Christine (the owner) is mindful of everyone's needs and takes care of the place very well. The prices are very competitive and flexible. There's a coffee machine, a pool table, a ping pong table and of course great people. Highly recommend!
